Placing Vehicle Development on Standby

At last! Heres an EARLY ALPHA demo of a tank for you to try and play around.
Current features:
The tank moves and turns.
The track suspention is working 100%
A (Temporary) turret rotation system.

Not included:
Track rolling animation.
Realistic Aiming (like Warthunder or something like that).
Cannon firing.

Doing some Unity stuff!



So! As you can see above I am still learning Unity! And It's quite fun actually, with lots of tutorials on the internet to help coding becomes more and more complete and understandable. Eventually I will get to the point that I feel confident in doing everything I want to.

So here's what's happened scince last post.
I've remade and renamed the AK Models(The one i'm using in unity is an old one)
I've managed to figure out weapon sway and ADS in unity (the very basics) but that requires further improvement.
As soon as I have a working prototype with gun movement, jumping, ADS and shooting i'l post a Gif! :)

So, I'm starting to watch Unity tutorials on scripting to get things going. I've modelled an AR-10 and I'l finish that when I've gotten past the basics of scripting.

My aim for now is to get a tank to move in a scene and point the barrel to where I want it to. (I assume by the time I get to that point the learning curve is more linear.)
Will post pictures of the AR-10 soon. Although I'm still deciding on the type of artwork to use on the game. I'm thinking something like this(click LINK below).

About Crimson Prime

Now, about the game itself! :D

I've always played videogames scince I was a kid and well....years of this and the specific amount of hours in specific types of games has lead me into wanting to develop my own game!
Just to give you an idea here's a few of my favourites and most played through my life:

Now keep in mind all of these games WILL have a GREAT influence on the gameplay of Crimson Prime, mostly Arma II's playstyle(mission and map wise).

Onto Crimson Prime:

Crimson prime will be alot like Arma II, but with more weapons, vehicles and sci-fi.
Weapons will include models of real-life weapons (with different names to avoid Copywrite infringements) and then some engineered in my head.
Vehicles will be the game-changing factor in this game:
There will be things like massive tanks, giant mechs to small mechs, radical military jeeps, motorcycles (control of these will be very realistic) to the usual airplanes, zepplins, flying fortresses down to fighting submarines and underwater tanks.
Now keep in mind that this will be a slow process to make ALL of this happen. First I will start with trying to release an actual prototype of the game (Alpha) in the future (seriously don't know when yet) when it has things like tanks, cars, bikes and a few mechs.

The first map, which I so randomly named Korskun (pronounced Korskaan) will be 13x13km.

The focus of the game will be to be a sci-fi futuristic military simulador (something between battlefield and arma) and you will control your player (no historical background, you're a player amongst other players) in First and Third Person. You get in and out of vehicles and you explore Korskan with your feet or in a bulking 90 Ton mech that walks at 15 KPH. Your (or if you're in a community, your superior's) choice! Will get into this further on....

From now on (and for the time being) I will be using this blogging platform to post updates on a game I'm currently starting to develop called Crimson Prime.

I will post pictures and write things about the game here, from time to time. Maybe sometimes I may turn away from it to write something different, but iw will be used for this purpose mostly!

About me:
I'm a teen living in Portugal, on my last year of highschool. Plan is to enroll in computer science and get a degree there to learn programming better and get a better understanding of computer overall!
(And It helps finding a job to sustain myself while i develop videogames, which is what I really intend to do!)
